Even though entering their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct passage to the last 16, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match provided a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in match.

The match was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
